Day 12, Thursday, July 5, 2007

Rained a lot and hard last night but stopped by this morning.

Ellen went back to Kennebunkport for lunch and shopping today while I stayed back and "chilled" at the campsite.

Took the girls for a beach walk later this afternoon. Dogs are allowed on the beaches here after 5pm so we let them run wild. We dropped the dogs back at the motor home then went out to dinner at a little "local" hot spot close to the Bush compound. Ellen got the "scoop" from a couple of old guys while in Kennebunkport today. Turned out one of the old guys owns the restaurant and he was there for dinner. Great place and great food! Back by 8:00pm and Ellen is mixing with the other campers. She is in great demand around here for her company around various campfires.

One of the most famous spots for lobster rolls in the Kennebunkport area. The window on the right, with the long line, is where you order and pay; left window is the pick up.

Seating at the Crab Shack is casual

Hey Guys! Glad to see you're having such a grand time! I so wish I was there. The beach and the homes in Maine look just like in the movies. And the family history in Monroe, MI. was fascinating! Give the pups kisses from me. Take care!

Hey Kids!

Looks like you are having a beautiful time in Maine. Have you ever seen so much lobster? Are you going out to any of the little islands around Portland? Keep having fun and tell Barbara hello for me.
